Routes
Get to know how the Payment routes function.
What are Routes?
Routes are the driving elements of our system, functioning as stable pathways ready to constitute the direction of Payments to the specific Accounts on the Provider side. This process develops through a set of explicit Routing rules and Strategies.
Routes are built based on the Method Type and Method Flow of the particular Provider.
Consequently, each Route defines:
- the Provider, and therefore the Payment currency;
- the Payment method (e.g., a Card method) can be used to accept Payments based on a specific Provider account.
- the Payment flow (e.g., Direct or Redirect flow) is a unified Payment processing algorithm that includes certain actions to perform for a successful outcome.
Routes are used in processing and Routing schemes.
Routes configuration
Routes configuration is practically the analysis of all the stored Routes and aggregating their fields into one list with the categories division. The categories include Fields, Currencies and Features. Thus, such a configuration enables a thorough investigation of similar and contrastive entities of the Routes and creates a so-called fields agreement to build up a corresponding Payment method and activate its further usage.
