Apple Pay
Enable Apple Pay for secure and seamless payments.
What is Apple Pay?
Apple Pay is a widely used digital wallet and payment method that allows Customers to make secure, fast, and convenient transactions using their Apple devices. By using Apple Pay, Merchants can expect a seamless Checkout experience that improves Customer satisfaction and reduces friction during the payment process.
1. Apple Pay · Apple Pay (Native)
Apple Pay Native payment flow presupposes a direct integration and is represented as an Apple Pay button at the Corefy Checkout. Customers can pay directly within the Checkout process without being redirected to external pages, which ensures a seamless and fast payment experience.
- Decrypt
In the Decrypt flow, the encrypted Apple Pay token is securely transmitted to our platform, where it is decrypted and processed. The decryption is needed when the chosen Routing attributes include card data, and without it, the Routing cannot be initiated. This approach provides Merchants with full control over the payment details and enables flexible customisation of payment handling.
- Non-decrypt
In the Non-decrypt flow, the encrypted token is passed directly to the Acquirer or Payment Service Provider without decryption on our side. This simplifies the integration setup, as the responsibility for decryption and processing lies with the external Provider.
2. Apple Pay · Redirect
In the Redirect integration, the Customer is redirected from Corefy Checkout to a hosted payment page provided by the Acquirer or PSP supporting Apple Pay. On this page, the Customer can complete the payment using Apple Pay on their Apple device.
This approach reduces the technical complexity of the integration for the Merchant, since token handling and processing are fully managed by the external Provider. However, the Customer experience differs from the Apple Pay Native flow, as it involves leaving the Checkout environment before returning to the Merchant’s site after the payment is completed.
